Zoledronic Acid is indicated for the treatment of:
- Postmenopausal osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone.
- Hypercalcaemia of malignancy and bone metastases.
Zoledronic Acid নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Zoledronic Acid:
- Osteoporosis and Paget's disease: 5 mg by IV infusion over at least 15 minutes (yearly for osteoporosis).
- Cancer-related use: 4 mg IV every 3-4 weeks.
- Hospital use.
Zoledronic Acid-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- অস্টিওপোরোসিস ও প্যাজেট'স রোগ: অন্তত ১৫ মিনিট ধরে শিরায় ইনফিউশনে ৫ মিগ্রা (অস্টিওপোরোসিসে বছরে একবার)।
- ক্যানসার-সম্পর্কিত ব্যবহার: প্রতি ৩-৪ সপ্তাহে শিরায় ৪ মিগ্রা।
- হাসপাতালে ব্যবহার।
Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Zoledronic Acid may interact with:
Aminoglycosides, loop diuretics, other kidney-toxic drugs.
Zoledronic Acid-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
অ্যামিনোগ্লাইকোসাইড, লুপ ডাইইউরেটিক, কিডনির ক্ষতিকারক অন্য ওষুধ।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Zoledronic Acid should not be used in:
- Low blood calcium.
- Severe kidney impairment (CrCl below 35 ml/min).
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding; hypersensitivity.
Zoledronic Acid যাদের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়:
- রক্তে ক্যালসিয়াম কম।
- গুরুতর কিডনি সমস্যা (CrCl ৩৫ মিলি/মিনিটের কম)।

Side Effectsপার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Possible side effects of Zoledronic Acid:
- Flu-like symptoms and fever after the first dose, bone and muscle pain.
- Kidney impairment, low calcium; rare: jaw osteonecrosis, unusual thigh-bone fractures.
