Voriconazole is indicated for the treatment of:
- Invasive aspergillosis.
- Candidaemia and serious Candida infections.
- Serious infections caused by Scedosporium and Fusarium.
- Prevention of fungal infection in high-risk patients (specialist use).

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Voriconazole:
- Adults: IV loading dose 6 mg/kg every 12 hours for two doses, then 4 mg/kg every 12 hours; oral 200-300 mg every 12 hours (adults 40 kg and above), taken 1 hour before or after a meal.
- Dose and duration are specialist-directed and adjusted by liver function.

- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: IV লোডিং মাত্রা প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 6 mg/kg (দুইবার), এরপর প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 4 mg/kg; মুখে (৪০ kg ও তার বেশি ওজনের প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক) প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 200-300 mg, খাবারের ১ ঘণ্টা আগে বা পরে।

Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Voriconazole should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity to azoles.
- Use with rifampicin, carbamazepine, long-acting barbiturates, ergot alkaloids, sirolimus, St John's wort, pimozide or quinidine.

Possible side effects of Voriconazole:
- Visual disturbances, fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, headache, raised liver enzymes.
- Hallucinations, QT prolongation, sensitivity to sunlight.
