Travoprost

Travoprost is indicated for the treatment of:

Open-angle glaucoma and raised eye pressure.

Increases the drainage of fluid from the eye.

Dosage and administration of Travoprost:

Eye drops: 1 drop of 0.004% in the affected eye once daily, preferably in the evening.

Travoprost may interact with:

Other prostaglandin eye drops (avoid together).

Travoprost should not be used in:

Hypersensitivity.

Possible side effects of Travoprost:

Eye redness, eyelash growth and darkening, eyelid and iris colour change, itching.

Pregnancy category: C

Use of Travoprost in pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Avoid unless clearly needed.

Precautions while using Travoprost:

• Remove contact lenses before use; wait 15 minutes before putting them back.
• Brown iris colour changes may be permanent.
