Piracetam is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Cortical myoclonus.
  • Adjunct in dyslexia and vertigo.
  • Cognitive impairment in the elderly (evidence of benefit is limited).

Dosage and administration of Piracetam:

  • Myoclonus: 7.2 g/day increased gradually to a maximum of 20 g/day in 2-3 doses.
  • Other uses: 2.4-4.8 g/day in two to three doses.
  • Reduce in kidney impairment.

Piracetam-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:

  • মায়োক্লোনাস: দিনে ৭.২ গ্রাম থেকে ধীরে ধীরে ২-৩ মাত্রায় সর্বোচ্চ দিনে ২০ গ্রাম পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো হয়।
  • অন্য ব্যবহার: দুই থেকে তিন মাত্রায় দিনে ২.৪-৪.৮ গ্রাম।
  • কিডনি সমস্যায় কমান।

Thyroid hormones (confusion, tremor), anticoagulants (monitor).
