Dosage and administration of Paliperidone:
Adults: 6 mg once daily in the morning (range 3-12 mg); long-acting injections are given by a specialist.

Paliperidone should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity to paliperidone or risperidone.
- Not for dementia-related psychosis in the elderly.

Possible side effects of Paliperidone:
- Restlessness (akathisia), drowsiness, raised prolactin (breast and menstrual changes), weight gain, tremor.
- QT prolongation, movement disorders.

Precautions while using Paliperidone:
- Swallow tablets whole.
- Monitor weight, blood sugar and lipids; reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
