Misoprostol is indicated for the treatment of:
- Prevention of NSAID-induced stomach and duodenal ulcers.
- Obstetric uses (induction of labour, medical abortion, prevention of postpartum haemorrhage) only under specialist protocols.

Dosage and administration of Misoprostol:
- Ulcer prevention: 200 mcg four times daily with food, or 400 mcg twice daily.
- Obstetric doses follow specialist protocols only.
