Frusemide is indicated for the treatment of:
- Oedema due to heart failure, cirrhosis and kidney disease.
- High blood pressure (add-on).
- Acute pulmonary oedema (IV).
Frusemide নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:
- হৃদযন্ত্রের অকার্যকারিতা, লিভার সিরোসিস ও কিডনি রোগের কারণে ফোলা।
- উচ্চ রক্তচাপ (সহায়ক)।

Blocks salt reabsorption in the kidney, increasing urine output.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Frusemide:
Adults: 20-80 mg orally once daily in the morning; IV 20-40 mg given slowly; higher doses in kidney failure.

প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: সকালে দিনে একবার মুখে ২০-৮০ মিগ্রা; শিরায় ধীরে ২০-৪০ মিগ্রা; কিডনি বিকলতায় বেশি মাত্রা।
Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Frusemide may interact with:
ACE inhibitors and ARBs, digoxin (low potassium), NSAIDs, lithium, aminoglycosides.
Frusemide-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
ACE ইনহিবিটর ও ARB, ডিগক্সিন (পটাশিয়াম কমে যাওয়া), NSAID, লিথিয়াম, অ্যামিনোগ্লাইকোসাইড।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Frusemide should not be used in:
- Anuria, severe dehydration.
- Severe low potassium or sodium; hepatic coma.
- Allergy to sulfonamides (possible cross-reaction).
Frusemide যাদের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়:
- অ্যানুরিয়া, গুরুতর পানিশূন্যতা।
- গুরুতর পটাশিয়াম বা সোডিয়াম কম; হেপাটিক কোমা।
- সালফোনামাইডে অ্যালার্জি (ক্রস-প্রতিক্রিয়া সম্ভব)।
Side Effectsপার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Possible side effects of Frusemide:
- Dehydration, dizziness, low sodium, potassium and magnesium, raised uric acid.
- Hearing loss with high IV doses.
