Cefepime is indicated for the treatment of:
- Severe pneumonia.
- Febrile neutropenia.
- Complicated urinary tract, skin and intra-abdominal infections.
- Septicaemia.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Cefepime:
- Adults: 1-2 g IV every 8-12 hours; febrile neutropenia 2 g every 8 hours; reduce in kidney impairment.
- Hospital use.

- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতি ৮-১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর IV তে 1-2 g; জ্বরসহ নিউট্রোপেনিয়ায় প্রতি ৮ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 2 g; কিডনির কার্যক্ষমতা কম থাকলে কমাতে হবে।
- হাসপাতালে ব্যবহার্য।

Possible side effects of Cefepime:
- Diarrhoea, rash, headache, injection-site reactions.
- Rare: confusion, seizures and brain toxicity (especially with kidney impairment), colitis, allergy.

Precautions while using Cefepime:
- Check for penicillin or cephalosporin allergy before use.
- Reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
- Prolonged use can cause overgrowth of resistant organisms.
