Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Apixaban is indicated for the treatment of:
- Stroke prevention in non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
- Treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
- Prevention of clots after hip or knee replacement.
Apixaban নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:
- নন-ভালভুলার অ্যাট্রিয়াল ফাইব্রিলেশনে স্ট্রোক প্রতিরোধ।
- ডিপ ভেইন থ্রম্বোসিস ও পালমোনারি এমবোলিজমের চিকিৎসা ও প্রতিরোধ।
- হিপ বা হাঁটু প্রতিস্থাপনের পর রক্ত জমাট প্রতিরোধ।
Pharmacologyফার্মাকোলজি
Directly blocks factor Xa, which reduces blood clot formation.
সরাসরি ফ্যাক্টর Xa বন্ধ করে, ফলে রক্ত জমাট বাঁধা কমে।
Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Apixaban:
- Atrial fibrillation: 5 mg twice daily (2.5 mg twice daily if two of: age 80 or over, weight 60 kg or less, creatinine 1.5 mg/dl or more).
- DVT/PE: 10 mg twice daily for 7 days, then 5 mg twice daily.
- Prevention after joint surgery: 2.5 mg twice daily.
Apixaban-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- অ্যাট্রিয়াল ফাইব্রিলেশন: দিনে দুইবার ৫ মিগ্রা (নিচের তিনটির মধ্যে দুটি থাকলে দিনে দুইবার ২.৫ মিগ্রা: বয়স ৮০ বা তার বেশি, ওজন ৬০ কেজি বা কম, ক্রিয়েটিনিন ১.৫ মিগ্রা/ডেসিলিটার বা বেশি)।
- DVT/PE: ৭ দিন দিনে দুইবার ১০ মিগ্রা, তারপর দিনে দুইবার ৫ মিগ্রা।
- জয়েন্ট অস্ত্রোপচারের পর প্রতিরোধ: দিনে দুইবার ২.৫ মিগ্রা।
Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Apixaban may interact with:
Ketoconazole, ritonavir, rifampicin, carbamazepine, NSAIDs, aspirin, other anticoagulants, SSRIs.
Apixaban-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
কেটোকোনাজল, রিটোনাভির, রিফাম্পিসিন, কার্বামাজেপিন, NSAID, অ্যাসপিরিন, অন্য রক্ত পাতলা করার ওষুধ, SSRI।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Apixaban should not be used in:
- Active major bleeding.
- Severe liver disease with bleeding risk.
- Use with strong CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein inhibitors in certain settings.
- Hypersensitivity.
Apixaban যাদের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়:
- সক্রিয় বড় রক্তপাত।
- রক্তপাতের ঝুঁকিসহ গুরুতর লিভার রোগ।
- নির্দিষ্ট ক্ষেত্রে শক্তিশালী CYP3A4 ও P-গ্লাইকোপ্রোটিন প্রতিরোধকের সাথে।
- অ্যালার্জি থাকলে।
Side Effectsপার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া
Possible side effects of Apixaban:
- Bleeding (nose, gums, urine, stomach), bruising, anaemia, nausea.
- Rare: serious bleeding, spinal haematoma.
Apixaban-এর সম্ভাব্য পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়া:
- রক্তপাত (নাক, মাড়ি, প্রস্রাব, পাকস্থলী), কালশিটে, রক্তস্বল্পতা, বমি বমি ভাব।
- বিরল: গুরুতর রক্তপাত, মেরুদণ্ডে হেমাটোমা।

Use of Apixaban in pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions & Warningsসতর্কতা
Precautions while using Apixaban:
- Do not stop suddenly without advice (clot and stroke risk).
- Check kidney function; caution with spinal anaesthesia.
Apixaban ব্যবহারের সময় সতর্কতা:
- পরামর্শ ছাড়া হঠাৎ বন্ধ করবেন না (রক্ত জমাট ও স্ট্রোকের ঝুঁকি)।
- কিডনির কার্যক্ষমতা পরীক্ষা করুন; মেরুদণ্ডে অ্যানেস্থেসিয়ার সময় সতর্ক থাকুন।
