Ultracaine is indicated for the treatment of:
- Local infiltration, nerve block, epidural and spinal anaesthesia.
- Prolonged post-operative pain relief.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Ultracaine:
- Dose depends on the procedure and site and is given only by trained doctors; the maximum is about 2 mg/kg (not more than 150-175 mg) without adrenaline.
- Do not give intravenously.

Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Ultracaine should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity to amide local anaesthetics.
- Intravenous regional anaesthesia; 0.75% strength in obstetrics.
- Infection at the injection site.

- Low blood pressure, slow heart rate, nausea, dizziness.
- Serious: toxicity of the heart and brain if injected into a vein.

Precautions while using Ultracaine:
- Aspirate before injecting; keep resuscitation equipment available.
- Reduce the dose in the elderly and in liver disease.
