Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Selex is indicated for the treatment of:
- Respiratory tract and ear, nose and throat infections.
- Urinary tract infections.
- Skin and soft tissue, bone and dental infections.
Selex নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:

Bactericidal; blocks bacterial cell-wall synthesis.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Selex:
- Adults: 250-500 mg every 6 hours or 500 mg to 1 g every 12 hours; up to 4 g daily in severe infections.
- Children: 25-50 mg/kg/day in divided doses.

- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতি ৬ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 250-500 mg অথবা প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 500 mg-1 g; গুরুতর সংক্রমণে দৈনিক সর্বোচ্চ 4 g।
- শিশু: দৈনিক 25-50 mg/kg ভাগ করে।

- Rare: severe allergic reaction, Clostridioides difficile colitis, blood disorders.

Precautions while using Selex:
- Check for penicillin or cephalosporin allergy before use.
- Reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
- Prolonged use can cause overgrowth of resistant organisms.
