Rovius is indicated for the treatment of:
- High LDL cholesterol and mixed dyslipidaemia.
- Prevention of cardiovascular events in people at high risk.
- Familial hypercholesterolaemia.

Dosage and administration of Rovius:
- Adults: 5-40 mg once daily; usually start 5-10 mg (start 5 mg in people of Asian origin); 40 mg only under specialist supervision.
- Can be taken at any time of day.

Rovius should not be used in:
- Active liver disease.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- The 40 mg dose in Asian patients, severe kidney impairment or risk factors for muscle damage.

Precautions while using Rovius:
- Report unexplained muscle pain, weakness or dark urine.
- Check liver enzymes before and during treatment as advised.
- Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice (atorvastatin).
