Indicationsনির্দেশনা

Pethidine-R is indicated for the treatment of:

Moderate to severe pain, including after surgery.
Pain relief in labour (as directed).

Acts on opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord to relieve pain.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি

Dosage and administration of Pethidine-R:

Adults: 50-150 mg IM or SC every 4 hours (maximum about 600 mg/day); IV 25-50 mg slowly.
Controlled drug; short-term use under medical supervision.

প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতি ৪ ঘণ্টা অন্তর IM বা SC তে 50-150 mg (সর্বোচ্চ দৈনিক প্রায় 600 mg); IV তে ধীরে 25-50 mg।

Pethidine-R should not be used in:

Use with MAO inhibitors (within 14 days).
Respiratory depression, severe kidney failure, raised pressure in the skull, acute alcoholism.
