Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Pedicef is indicated for the treatment of:
- Upper respiratory tract infections including pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis and otitis media.
- Lower respiratory tract infections.
- Uncomplicated urinary tract and skin infections; gonorrhoea.
Pedicef নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:
- ওপরের শ্বাসতন্ত্রের সংক্রমণ (গলা, টনসিল, সাইনাস, কান)।
- নিচের শ্বাসতন্ত্রের সংক্রমণ।

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Pedicef:
- Adults: 100-200 mg every 12 hours with food; gonorrhoea 200 mg as a single dose.
- Children: 8-10 mg/kg/day in two doses.
- Reduce dose in kidney impairment.
Pedicef-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: খাবারের সাথে প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর 100-200 mg; গনোরিয়ায় একবারে 200 mg।
- শিশু: দৈনিক 8-10 mg/kg, দুই ভাগে।
- কিডনির কার্যক্ষমতা কম থাকলে মাত্রা কমাতে হবে।

Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.

Possible side effects of Pedicef:
- Diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, rash.
- Rare: severe allergic reaction, Clostridioides difficile colitis, blood disorders.

Precautions while using Pedicef:
- Check for penicillin or cephalosporin allergy before use.
- Reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
- Prolonged use can cause overgrowth of resistant organisms.
