Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Methotrax is indicated for the treatment of:
- Rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
- Certain cancers such as acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (specialist).

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Methotrax:
- Rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis: 7.5-25 mg taken ONCE A WEEK only, never daily, usually with folic acid on another day.
- Cancer regimens are specialist-directed.
Methotrax-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- রিউমাটয়েড আর্থ্রাইটিস ও সোরিয়াসিস: সপ্তাহে মাত্র একবার ৭.৫-২৫ মিগ্রা, কখনোই প্রতিদিন নয়; সাধারণত অন্য দিনে ফলিক অ্যাসিডসহ।

Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Methotrax may interact with:
NSAIDs, trimethoprim and co-trimoxazole, penicillins, proton pump inhibitors, alcohol, other liver-toxic drugs.
Methotrax-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
NSAID, ট্রাইমেথোপ্রিম ও কো-ট্রাইমক্সাজল, পেনিসিলিন, প্রোটন পাম্প ইনহিবিটর, অ্যালকোহল, লিভারের ক্ষতিকারক অন্য ওষুধ।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Methotrax should not be used in:
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding.
- Severe liver or kidney impairment; bone marrow suppression; active serious infection; heavy alcohol use.
- Hypersensitivity.

- Serious: bone marrow suppression, liver damage, lung inflammation, infections.

Precautions while using Methotrax:
- Weekly dosing: daily dosing by mistake can be fatal.
- Monitor blood counts, liver and kidney function; folic acid is usually given.
- Effective contraception for both partners.
