Mesagut is indicated for the treatment of:
- Mild to moderate ulcerative colitis (treatment and maintenance).
- Crohn's disease of the colon (selected cases).

Dosage and administration of Mesagut:
- Active disease: 2.4-4.8 g daily in divided doses; maintenance 1.5-3 g daily.
- Rectal suppositories (500 mg-1 g) or enemas for distal disease.
