Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Meglu is indicated for the treatment of:
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially in overweight patients.
- Combination treatment with other antidiabetic drugs or insulin.
- Sometimes used in polycystic ovary syndrome (specialist advice).

Dosage and administration of Meglu:
Adults: start 500 mg once or twice daily with meals; increase gradually every 1-2 weeks; usual 1-2 g daily in divided doses (maximum 2-3 g/day depending on the formulation).

Meglu should not be used in:
- Severe kidney impairment (eGFR below 30).
- Diabetic ketoacidosis or metabolic acidosis.
- Severe liver disease, heavy alcohol use, acute heart failure or shock.

- Low vitamin B12 with long-term use.
- Rare: lactic acidosis.
