Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Indomet is indicated for the treatment of:
- Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
- Acute gout; bursitis and tendinitis.
- Painful periods; closure of patent ductus arteriosus in newborns (IV, specialist).
Indomet নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:
- রিউমাটয়েড আর্থ্রাইটিস, অস্টিওআর্থ্রাইটিস ও অ্যানকাইলোজিং স্পন্ডিলাইটিস।
- তীব্র গাউট; বার্সাইটিস ও টেন্ডনের প্রদাহ।
- মাসিকের ব্যথা।
Pharmacologyফার্মাকোলজি
Blocks cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes and reduces prostaglandin production.
সাইক্লো-অক্সিজেনেজ (COX) এনজাইম বন্ধ করে এবং প্রোস্টাগ্ল্যান্ডিন তৈরি কমায়।
Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Indomet:
- Adults: 25-50 mg two to three times daily with food (maximum 200 mg/day); acute gout 50 mg three times daily until the attack settles.
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
Indomet-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: খাবারের সাথে দিনে দুই থেকে তিনবার ২৫-৫০ মিগ্রা (সর্বোচ্চ ২০০ মিগ্রা/দিন); তীব্র গাউটে আক্রমণ না থামা পর্যন্ত দিনে তিনবার ৫০ মিগ্রা।
- সর্বনিম্ন কার্যকর মাত্রা সর্বনিম্ন সময়ের জন্য ব্যবহার করুন।
Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Indomet may interact with:
Anticoagulants, aspirin and other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, ACE inhibitors/ARBs and diuretics, methotrexate, lithium.
Indomet-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
রক্ত পাতলা করার ওষুধ, অ্যাসপিরিন ও অন্য NSAID, কর্টিকোস্টেরয়েড, ACE ইনহিবিটর/ARB ও মূত্রবর্ধক, মেথোট্রেক্সেট, লিথিয়াম।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Indomet should not be used in:
- Active peptic ulcer or GI bleeding.
- Severe heart, liver or kidney failure.
- Allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs.
- Third trimester of pregnancy.

Possible side effects of Indomet:
- Stomach pain, nausea, ulcers and bleeding.
- Headache, dizziness, confusion; fluid retention and raised blood pressure.

Precautions while using Indomet:
- Take with food; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
- Caution in the elderly, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease and asthma.
- Long-term high doses raise the risk of heart attack and stroke.
