Glucostat is indicated for the treatment of:
Type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise are not enough.

Dosage and administration of Glucostat:
- Adults (immediate-release): start 40-80 mg daily with breakfast; usual up to 320 mg/day in divided doses.
- Modified-release: 30-120 mg once daily with breakfast.

Glucostat should not be used in:
- Type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Severe liver or kidney impairment.
- Use with miconazole.
- Allergy to sulfonylureas.
