Foligen is indicated for the treatment of:
- Folate deficiency and megaloblastic anaemia.
- Prevention of neural tube defects before and during early pregnancy.
- Supplement with methotrexate and in conditions with high folate need.

Dosage and administration of Foligen:
Adults: deficiency 5 mg once daily for about 4 months; prevention in pregnancy 400 mcg daily before conception and until week 12 (5 mg daily if at high risk, as advised).

Foligen should not be used in:
- Untreated vitamin B12 deficiency or pernicious anaemia (can mask it).
- Hypersensitivity.
