Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Etopira is indicated for the treatment of:
- Epilepsy: partial and generalised seizures.
- Migraine prevention.
Etopira নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:

Pharmacologyফার্মাকোলজি
Blocks sodium channels, enhances GABA and blocks glutamate receptors.
সোডিয়াম চ্যানেল বন্ধ করে, GABA বাড়ায় এবং গ্লুটামেট রিসেপ্টর বন্ধ করে।
Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Etopira:
- Epilepsy: start 25-50 mg at night, increase weekly to the usual 200-400 mg/day in two doses.
- Migraine prevention: 50-100 mg daily.
- Reduce in kidney impairment; stop gradually.
Etopira-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- মৃগী: রাতে ২৫-৫০ মিগ্রা দিয়ে শুরু, প্রতি সপ্তাহে বাড়িয়ে সাধারণত দুই মাত্রায় দিনে ২০০-৪০০ মিগ্রা।
- মাইগ্রেন প্রতিরোধ: দিনে ৫০-১০০ মিগ্রা।
- কিডনি সমস্যায় কমান; ধীরে ধীরে বন্ধ করুন।
Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Etopira may interact with:
Oral contraceptives (reduced effect at higher doses), valproate, phenytoin, carbamazepine, alcohol and sedatives.
Etopira-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
জন্মনিয়ন্ত্রণ পিল (বেশি মাত্রায় কার্যকারিতা কমে), ভ্যালপ্রয়েট, ফেনিটয়েন, কার্বামাজেপিন, অ্যালকোহল ও ঘুমের ওষুধ।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Etopira should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity.
- Pregnancy and women who can become pregnant, for migraine prevention.

- Tingling in hands and feet, weight loss, slowed thinking and word-finding difficulty, drowsiness.
- Kidney stones, metabolic acidosis; rare: acute angle-closure glaucoma.
