Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Enocef is indicated for the treatment of:
- Lower respiratory tract infections including pneumonia.
- Bacterial meningitis.
- Complicated urinary tract and intra-abdominal infections.
- Typhoid fever and gonorrhoea.
- Bone, joint, skin and soft tissue infections; septicaemia.
- Surgical prophylaxis.

Bactericidal; blocks bacterial cell-wall synthesis.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Enocef:
- Adults: 1-2 g once daily by IV or IM injection; up to 4 g daily in severe infections. Gonorrhoea: a single 250 mg IM dose.
- Children and neonates: dose by body weight under medical supervision.
- Duration depends on the infection.

Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Enocef should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.
- Newborns with jaundice; must not be given with calcium-containing IV solutions in newborns.

Possible side effects of Enocef:
- Diarrhoea, nausea, rash, pain or phlebitis at the injection site.
- Biliary sludge, raised liver enzymes.
- Rare: severe allergy, colitis, blood disorders.

Precautions & Warningsসতর্কতা
Precautions while using Enocef:
- Check for penicillin or cephalosporin allergy before use.
- Reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
- Prolonged use can cause overgrowth of resistant organisms.

- ব্যবহারের আগে পেনিসিলিন বা সেফালোস্পোরিনে অ্যালার্জি আছে কি না দেখে নিন।
