Empaglif-M is indicated for the treatment of:
Type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both empagliflozin and metformin is appropriate.

Dosage and administration of Empaglif-M:
Adults: one tablet twice daily with meals (empagliflozin 5 or 12.5 mg with metformin 500, 850 or 1,000 mg), adjusted by the doctor.

Empaglif-M should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity.
- Diabetic ketoacidosis.
- Severe kidney impairment (eGFR below 30), severe liver disease, heavy alcohol use.
- Conditions that risk lactic acidosis.

Possible side effects of Empaglif-M:
- Genital fungal and urinary tract infections, increased urination, nausea, diarrhoea.
- Rare: ketoacidosis, lactic acidosis, Fournier's gangrene.
