Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Doxycycline is indicated for the treatment of:
- Respiratory tract infections.
- Acne and rosacea.
- Chlamydia and other sexually transmitted infections.
- Malaria prevention; leptospirosis, cholera, Lyme disease, rickettsial infections, brucellosis.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Doxycycline:
- Adults: 100 mg twice daily (or 200 mg on day 1 then 100 mg daily); malaria prevention 100 mg once daily.
- Take with food and a full glass of water; stay upright for at least 30 minutes.
Doxycycline-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: দিনে দুইবার 100 mg (অথবা প্রথম দিন 200 mg, এরপর প্রতিদিন 100 mg); ম্যালেরিয়া প্রতিরোধে দিনে একবার 100 mg।
- খাবারের সাথে এক গ্লাস পানি দিয়ে খান; অন্তত ৩০ মিনিট সোজা হয়ে থাকুন।

Doxycycline should not be used in:
- Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
- Pregnancy.
- Children under 8 years.

- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, sensitivity to sunlight, irritation of the food pipe.
- Rare: raised pressure in the skull, liver problems; tooth discolouration in young children.
