Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Cotson is indicated for the treatment of:
- Replacement therapy in adrenal insufficiency.
- Mild skin inflammation and eczema (topical 1%).
- Emergency treatment of adrenal crisis, severe allergy and anaphylaxis (IV).

Dosage and administration of Cotson:
- Replacement: 15-30 mg daily in two to three divided doses.
- Topical 1% cream: apply once or twice daily for a short time.
- Emergency IV: 100 mg, as directed.

- Untreated systemic infection.
- Live vaccines at immunosuppressive doses.
- Hypersensitivity.

Possible side effects of Cotson:
- Raised blood sugar, weight gain, mood changes, sleeplessness, high blood pressure, stomach irritation.
- Long-term: bone thinning, infections, cataract, adrenal suppression, growth suppression in children.
