Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Chemazid is indicated for the treatment of:
- Severe infections including those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa: pneumonia, urinary tract, intra-abdominal, bone and skin infections.
- Meningitis and septicaemia.
- Febrile neutropenia; lung infections in cystic fibrosis.

- সিউডোমোনাসসহ জীবাণুজনিত গুরুতর সংক্রমণ: নিউমোনিয়া, মূত্রনালি, পেট, হাড় ও ত্বকের সংক্রমণ।
- মেনিনজাইটিস ও সেপ্টিসিমিয়া।
- জ্বরসহ নিউট্রোপেনিয়া; সিস্টিক ফাইব্রোসিসে ফুসফুসের সংক্রমণ।

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Chemazid:
- Adults: 1-2 g IV or IM every 8 hours (up to 6 g daily in severe infection); reduce in kidney impairment.
- Hospital use.
Chemazid-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
- প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতি ৮ ঘণ্টা অন্তর IV বা IM এ 1-2 g (গুরুতর সংক্রমণে দৈনিক সর্বোচ্চ 6 g); কিডনির কার্যক্ষমতা কম থাকলে কমাতে হবে।
- হাসপাতালে ব্যবহার্য।

Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.

Possible side effects of Chemazid:
- Diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, rash.
- Rare: severe allergic reaction, Clostridioides difficile colitis, blood disorders.

Precautions while using Chemazid:
- Check for penicillin or cephalosporin allergy before use.
- Reduce the dose in kidney impairment.
- Prolonged use can cause overgrowth of resistant organisms.
