Indicationsনির্দেশনা

Cefopen IM/IV is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Serious bacterial infections: septicaemia, lower respiratory tract and urinary tract infections.
  • Intra-abdominal, pelvic and skin infections; surgical prophylaxis.

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি

Dosage and administration of Cefopen IM/IV:

  • Adults: 1-2 g IV or IM every 12 hours (up to 8 g daily in severe infection); reduce in liver impairment.
  • Hospital use.

Cefopen IM/IV-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:

  • প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: প্রতি ১২ ঘণ্টা অন্তর IV বা IM এ 1-2 g (গুরুতর সংক্রমণে দৈনিক 8 g পর্যন্ত); লিভারের কার্যক্ষমতা কম থাকলে কমান।
  • হাসপাতালে ব্যবহার্য।

Possible side effects of Cefopen IM/IV:

  • Diarrhoea, rash, nausea, phlebitis, bleeding tendency (vitamin K deficiency).
  • Flushing and sickness if alcohol is taken during and for several days after treatment.
