PRO 9 DS is indicated for the treatment of:
- Weekly injection to reduce the risk of recurrent preterm birth in selected women (its benefit has not been confirmed in recent trials, and regulators in some countries have withdrawn approval for this use).
- Amenorrhoea and abnormal uterine bleeding; palliative use in some cancers.

Dosage and administration of PRO 9 DS:
- Preterm birth: 250 mg IM once weekly from 16-20 weeks to 36 weeks, only under an obstetric specialist.
- Other uses are specialist-directed.
