Paricalcitol is indicated for the treatment of:

Prevention and treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in chronic kidney disease.

Activates vitamin D receptors, lowering parathyroid hormone with less effect on calcium.

Dosage and administration of Paricalcitol:

IV (dialysis): 0.04-0.1 mcg/kg three times weekly; oral 1-2 mcg daily or 2-4 mcg three times weekly, adjusted by blood PTH and calcium.
