Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide

Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide is indicated for the treatment of:

Pupil dilation for eye examination and eye procedures.

Phenylephrine and tropicamide together dilate the pupil.

Dosage and administration of Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide:

Eye drops: 1-2 drops 15-30 minutes before the examination; the effect lasts several hours.

Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide may interact with:

MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, beta blockers, other anticholinergic drugs.

Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide should not be used in:

• Narrow-angle glaucoma or a shallow anterior chamber.
• Hypersensitivity.

Possible side effects of Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide:

• Stinging, blurred vision, sensitivity to light.
• Rare: raised blood pressure and fast heartbeat.

Pregnancy category: C

Use of Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide in pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Use only if clearly needed.

Precautions while using Phenylepherine Hydrochloride + Tropicamide:

• Do not drive until vision recovers.
• Press the corner of the eye after instilling in children.
