Carbimazole is indicated for the treatment of:
- Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), including Graves' disease.
- Preparation for thyroid surgery.

Dosage and administration of Carbimazole:
Adults: start 15-40 mg daily until the thyroid is controlled (4-8 weeks), then reduce to a maintenance dose of 5-15 mg daily; sometimes combined with thyroxine (block and replace).
