S-Thio is indicated for the treatment of:
- Cyanide poisoning (with a nitrite or hydroxocobalamin, in hospital).
- Calciphylaxis in kidney failure (specialist).
- Topical treatment of tinea versicolor.

Dosage and administration of S-Thio:
- Cyanide poisoning: 12.5 g IV over 10 minutes in adults, in hospital.
- Topical: apply 20-25% solution to the affected skin twice daily, as per the label.
