Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Thyzol is indicated for the treatment of:
- Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), including Graves' disease.
- Preparation for thyroid surgery or radioactive iodine.
Thyzol নিম্নলিখিত ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়:
- গ্রেভস রোগসহ অতি সক্রিয় থাইরয়েড (হাইপারথাইরয়েডিজম)।

Dosage & Administrationমাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি
Dosage and administration of Thyzol:
Adults: start 15-30 mg daily in one or two doses until the thyroid is controlled, then reduce to a maintenance dose of 5-15 mg daily.
Thyzol-এর মাত্রা ও সেবনবিধি:
প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক: থাইরয়েড নিয়ন্ত্রিত না হওয়া পর্যন্ত এক-দুই মাত্রায় দৈনিক ১৫-৩০ mg দিয়ে শুরু, তারপর কমিয়ে মেইনটেন্যান্স দৈনিক ৫-১৫ mg।
Interactionড্রাগ ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন
Thyzol may interact with:
Warfarin (effect may change as thyroid function normalises), digoxin, theophylline.
Thyzol-এর সাথে যেসব ওষুধের ইন্টারঅ্যাকশন হতে পারে:
ওয়ারফারিন (থাইরয়েড কার্যকারিতা স্বাভাবিক হলে প্রভাব বদলাতে পারে), ডিগক্সিন, থিওফাইলিন।
Contraindicationsপ্রতিনির্দেশনা
Thyzol should not be used in:
- Severe blood disorders.
- Previous reaction to methimazole or carbimazole; hypersensitivity.

Possible side effects of Thyzol:
- Rash, itching, nausea, joint pain, taste changes.
- Serious: agranulocytosis (low white blood cells), liver problems.

Precautions while using Thyzol:
- Report sore throat, mouth ulcers or fever at once and stop the drug.
- Monitor thyroid function and blood counts.
