Tamisol D 0.4/0.5 Capsule

Tamisol D 0.4/0.5 is indicated for the treatment of:

Moderate to severe symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia in men with an enlarged prostate.

Dutasteride shrinks the prostate; tamsulosin relaxes prostate muscle for better urine flow.

Dosage and administration of Tamisol D 0.4/0.5:

Adults (men): one capsule once daily (dutasteride 0.5 mg with tamsulosin 0.4 mg) about 30 minutes after the same meal each day; swallow whole.

Tamisol D 0.4/0.5 may interact with:

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors, other alpha blockers, PDE5 inhibitors, verapamil, diltiazem.

Tamisol D 0.4/0.5 should not be used in:

• Women, children and adolescents.
• Severe liver impairment; hypersensitivity.

Possible side effects of Tamisol D 0.4/0.5:

Reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction, abnormal ejaculation, dizziness, breast tenderness.

Use of Tamisol D 0.4/0.5 in pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Not for women; harms the male fetus.

Precautions while using Tamisol D 0.4/0.5:

• PSA levels fall by about half after 6 months.
• Women who are or may be pregnant must not handle the capsules.
