Indicationsনির্দেশনা
Perigen is indicated for the treatment of:
- Schizophrenia and acute psychosis.
- Mania; severe agitation.
- Tourette's syndrome; intractable hiccup and severe nausea (low doses).

Dosage and administration of Perigen:
- Adults: oral 0.5-5 mg two to three times daily (maximum 30 mg/day); IM 2-10 mg; start low in the elderly.
- Specialist-directed.

Perigen should not be used in:
- Coma, severe central nervous system depression.
- Parkinson's disease; QT prolongation or use with QT-prolonging drugs.
- Dementia-related psychosis in the elderly.

- Muscle stiffness, tremor, restlessness (akathisia), dystonia, drowsiness.
- Tardive dyskinesia, QT prolongation, neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
