Fenticonazole Nitrate

Fenticonazole Nitrate is indicated for the treatment of:

• Vaginal candidiasis (ovule or cream).
• Fungal skin infections such as athlete's foot and ringworm.

Blocks fungal cell-membrane synthesis.

Dosage and administration of Fenticonazole Nitrate:

• Vaginal: 600 mg ovule once at night, or 200 mg ovule at night for 3 nights.
• Skin: apply 2% cream once or twice daily for 2-4 weeks.

Fenticonazole Nitrate may interact with:

Few with topical use; miconazole can raise warfarin effect.

Fenticonazole Nitrate should not be used in:

Hypersensitivity to azoles.

Possible side effects of Fenticonazole Nitrate:

Local burning, itching, redness, irritation.

Pregnancy category: C

Use of Fenticonazole Nitrate in pregnancy and breastfeeding:

Use only if clearly needed.

Precautions while using Fenticonazole Nitrate:

• Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.
